When telling Vandas story, I felt he was very close to her, almost to the point where it could be seen as a personal relationship. Thats exactly what I think about the film: it is extreme and crude in some scenes but this cannot be translated as exploitation but as accurate and careful explanation and evidence of a serious phenomenon such as alcoholism.
